Perceptual choices launched (p)
7 January 2026
Perceptual sociometry measures perception, not actual relationships.
For this purpose, the projectivity of respondents is assessed in addition to the main question.
1/ Select that we need a perceptual scale on top of this sociometry:

3/ We enter the participants' perceptual choices; a column with (p) appears:

4/ The report in version 1.839b includes:
- mutual elections and their number:

- Perceptual status, highlighted if different from the actual status:

- perceptual group indices

For this purpose, the projectivity of respondents is assessed in addition to the main question.
Examples of perceptual questions:
"Who, in your opinion, has a negative attitude toward you?"
"Who, in your opinion, has a positive attitude toward you?"
We record: "How, for example, does Petrov perceive Ivanov's attitude toward himself?"
Then we enter these questions(s) in the same way as with regular sociometry.
